A Little Bit of Catching Up

We have been pretty busy around here. 100th day of school, super bowl party, benefits, trips to Fredericksburg, basketball practice and game.....

Softball Time! Practice is twice a week! UGH!
Getting the game face on!
On Saturday we hosted a benefit for Cathy Douglass. Cathy is the mother of our dear friends Nicki and Casie and has been suffering from cancer. Sadly, she passed away about an hour before the benefit started. We knew this was a possibility but man talk about bad timing. It was a blessing that she is no longer suffering. I hate cancer! The benefit was successful. We raised a great deal of $$$$$.

Nicki and Casie are the two on the far end. They showed up at the very end when we were cleaning up. Needless to say but turned into girl time and it was good for Nicki and Casie.

See, everyone is gone and we are all laughing and having a good time. I have some crazy friends!

We had a silent auction and mom got this awesome cheesecake and a Chili's gift card. Mom, thanks for helping my dear friends out!
On Sunday we headed to Fredericksburg in the freezing cold weather and picked up the girls. They stayed with Mimi and pawpaw for the weekend. They love the tortilla maker at Mamacitas!
Please pray for the many families dealing and suffering from cancer. My heart is heavy for Casie and Nicki. It is also heavy for the Barnard family. CJ Barnard kept Kyli for the first 3 1/2 years and Kenna for 6 months. Her hubby and my youth director in high school is suffering from colon cancer. Please lift both family up in prayers.
Our associate pastor is also dealing with some issues. He has resigned from our church. I am just so sad and know that him, his wife and family need so many prayers. Please lift them up as well!
Also, our school needs your prayers. We have been searching for a superintendant. We thought we had found one and then info leaked about him and then they announced he will not be joining BCISD. Also, they have a 1.6 million dollar budget cut they are working on. I hope I keep my job!

"I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." Mark 11:24

Have a Happy Valentine's Day!
