Let it Snow

Wow! I can't believe my eyes. It snowed 2-3 inches in Burnet, Tx. My girls, myself, friends, students... all of use were so excited. We played twice outside at school and froze. It was worth every frozen moment. Most of the kids had never seen snow. Kyli made her a little snowman at Mimi and Pawpaw's.

Who needs gloves? And yes, Mimi is in sandals. CRAZY!!

Chris brought Kenna up to school to play with Kyli in the snow. I was so excited to see them.

Tuesday we had snow. It was a blast. We went to Mimi and Pawpaw's to play in the snow. The girls stayed the night with them since we had a late start on Wednesday. That was a blessing because after midnight Chris and I got the stomach bug. It was awful. The last two weeks I have had pharyngitis and now this. It is been an awful two weeks but I feel sure I am done being sick. Thank goodness for my parents because they kept them Wednesday night so they wouldn't get it.
Chris and I slept awesome last night. Thank the Lord. We were exhausted from the night before. Not having the girls to worry about was so nice.
When we woke up this morning we felt so much better. Today was the first grade program at school. It was so adorable. I love my job. I feel this is one of the greatest rewards on earth. You see so much growth in children at this age.

Cousin Love

Chris and I kept Brandi and Rob's kids this weekend. Nanis helped out too. It was so much fun. We played, played, played. We even take all 5 kids to church. That was LOTS of work getting them ready. Ty is missing from the pic because he wouldn't cooperate.

Sunday picnic-the weather was gorgeous. Not for long, cold front tomorrow.
Isn't he so darn cute. Ty doesn't sleep in a pack and play so he slept in bed with me all night long. He was so good.

They love making tents

He loves Girl Scott Thin Mints
Well the weekend is over and a new week begins. Melissa is coming to clean tomorrow. Woo Hoo. Every two weeks I have my house cleaned and it is the biggest treat. I love it. Finally going to dermatologist to see why I have so many zits. I hate them. Another busy week ahead.
Tuesday-Lady Dawgs playoff game in Belton
Wednesday-getting hair cut and colored
Thursday-1st grade play at school
We are leaving March 13th (our 11 year anniversary) for Durango. I checked the snow report and in the last 48 hours they have had 20 inches of snow. We are so excited.
Have a BLESSED week!

Basketball Stars

Growing up my favorite sport was basketball. Brandi and I played it all the time. The one sport i want my girls to play is bball. If they don't I'll be devestated. Right now, they both love it. Kyli just finished her 2nd league at FBC and she is in her 3rd league. We love it. She has 3 more games and then we will have to wait until September to play in another league. We will practice LOTS!

Worn Out!!!

This has been a crazy week. I have been sick for 5 days. Kyli had the stomach bug last night and starting throwing up at 12:30. Needless to say, we are exhausted but we are feeling much better. Chris stayed home with Kyli today and also cleaned house. He ROCKS!
I went to physical therapy and did great. I don't have to go back unless my nuerosurgeon thinks I need more work.
I am needing a break BIG time. I am exhausted all the time. I can't stay caught up on my laundry. My house is in shambles. I have zits all over my face. I have never had pimples in my life. It is awful. I am going to a dermatologist on Monday. I can't wait because it drives me crazy.
The count down is on. 3 weeks and 2 days and we leave for a trip to Durango, CO. I can't wait to play in the snow with the girls.
My vision is NO better. It has been 2 months since the surgery. Sometimes I get kinda upset or wishful but then I have to remember.... patience. The doctor said it could take up to two years. I an learning to be very patient.
Learn to be patient, so that you will please God and be given what He has promised.

Valentine's Party

As a first grade teacher it is very hard to make it to my girls' parties. Thank goodness for family. They come to the rescue all the time. Chris went to Kenna's and mom went to Kyli's. My party was going on at the same time as Kyli's so I did get to go by and check things out and snap some pics.

Playing games

Chris and I missed Kenna's Christmas party at Mrs. Holly's. It was right after surgery and Chris didn't want to leave me alone. HUGE mistake. Kenna came home boo hooing because we were the only parents that didn't go. I cried because it was so sad. We will never let that happen again. Chris went to this party.
Kenna's VDAY party.
Doesn't Kenna look like a rag doll. I don't think Chris fixed her hair Friday morning.
Chris gave me some pjs with hearts on them and I gave him some chocolate dipped strawberries. We got the girls a teddy bear, candy and chipmunk CD.
I am not feeling well today so we are just going to hang out around the house. I think I have strep. My throat is killing me. I did get out of bed to make the most delicious soup. It is so easy and so scrumptious. My good friend, Jennifer, made this for me while I was recovering.
Mexican Corn Chowder
2 large chicken breast cooked and diced
1 lb. Mexican Velveeta
2 cans mexi-corn (I use one)
1 reg. size can of chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of potato soup
1 can sliced mushrooms(I omit, girls don't like)
1 can of green chilies
Put all in a crock pot and cook for a little over an hour. Serve with tortilla chips or cornbread.
I am thinking it would be great to drink a mango margarita with it too. YUMMY!!!!
