Well, another year has passed and I did indeed turn 37!!!!! Wow! I used to think that 37 was so old. Now I am thinking I am just happy to be alive!
My sweet friends took me to dinner on Friday. I have the most amazing friends!
On Sunday I woke up and the girls surprised me with the Pandora palm tree charm. Chris bought it before he went to Virginia and hid it in his closet. I have been wanting that charm every since we went to Belize. Then we headed to Austin to spend my birthday with the other birthday girl. We had a great day!! And the cake was scrumptious!
I got bday money so I booked a flight and hotel next weekend to go see Chris. I miss him!! We all miss him! Thank God for another year!

From TX to Virginia and Back
On Thursday Chris and I started our 24 hour journey to Virginia. Chris will be in Virginia for 10 weeks at the FBI NA. Boo Hoo! I hate when he is gone. Praise the Lord for Face Time. Our first night we stayed in Memphis, TN and had the most amazing bbq at Central BBQ. Second night we stayed in Salem, VA. Then I flew out of Reagen Airport in DC. Although we will miss Chris so much we are so blessed that Chris has this amazing opportunity. And I have a great parent and friend support here in Burnet.
Here are some pics from the past week:

Love my new book!
Our last 3 1/2 hours of driving. So sad to leave Chris but man I am tired of driving!
We had a little drink once we arrived in Memphis
Central BBQ in Memphis
Mom kept the girls and Raider while we were gone. Raider got to go with mom to pick up girls from school.
Kyli also got the STAR Award at school. So glad Nanis could go since we were gone!
Our little family!
I love my new quilt. Hopefully the cream color won't get too dirty!!!
We had a little thunderstorm the other night so the girls had to sleep in our room.
Today I am thankful for a safe trip and wonderful family. I already miss Chris. I will put my big girl panties on and deal with it. I know this time will pass and I will be a stronger woman because of it. While Chris is gone he will miss my b-day, Valentines day, our anniversary and all basketball games. Basketball has started. Kyli scored 12 points and Kenna scored 8. I am so proud of my little All-Stars.
Have a blessed week!

New Year's Eve at Purgatory
New Year's Eve was our last day on the mountain. It was day 4 and it snowed all day. It was beautiful!Chris skied while the girls played in the snow and I drank Colorado Bulldogs.
Yum! All you can eat Smores Bar!!!
The mountain held a parade and fireworks to celebrate. It was freezing!
The parade consisted of snowboarders and skiiers coming down the mountains with red flames. It was so cool. And the sound of the fireworks echoing throughout the mountains was so cool!
I love my camera! I think some of the pics I got in the dark were pretty cool. We had the best time ever except for the beds. We missed our beds so bad! We are home safe and sound and I am already thinking about our next trip. I love going places. We are so blessed! I go back to school tomorrow for a work day. I have so much to do. Chris will be leaving for Virginia on Thursday. He will be there for training for 10 weeks. Boo Hoo! I pray I can hold it together. Hopefully Chris being gone to Alaska for 19 days prepared me a little. I just pray that I don't get sick, nothing goes wrong and a dog doesn't die. That's what happened when he went to Alaska. Whew! It was rough! Have a blessed week!
