My 35th bday. Oh, Brandi's too!!!!!!!!!

Happy 35th to me and my twinkie Brandi. I have to admit for the last couple of months I have dreded this day. I remember not too long ago that I considered 35 so old. Well, here I am, 35!!!!
Then I had to stop and think how blessed I am. Healthy, happy and alive! Today was a fantastic day. One of my best bdays ever!
Kyli and Kenna giving me bday hugs before schoolMom came to school to help out and she ate lunch with me. When I got home she had my house straightened up and had a party planned for me and Brandi.
Birthday Girls

Isn't this the coolest gift ever. Shelly gave me a D last year for my bday. I thought this would be great for Brandi. She is the girl that has everything, but she didn't have one of these...
thanks Shelly for making the letter for Brandi. You Rock!
All my Texas Tech goodies.
Can you see the cash in the wine glass! woo hoo!

The best mom in the World!

We ate dinner at the Maxican and then headed to Lampasas to go to a visitation for my dear friend, Sophie's, dad. Please pray for her and her family during this time. Sophie is the strongest person I know.
Tomorrow I am meeting my besties for milk and cookies.
Saturday, me and mom are going to Austin to pick up Brandi for a girls' day out. Lots of fun things planned.
Brad Bolm is doing great. He is still out of work but he is on the road to recovery. Thanks for your prayers.
Today so many friends texted, called on posted on FB sweet birthday wishes. I am so blessed! God is so good!

Rainy Sunday

Saturday and Sunday have been cold and rainy. That means lazy at the Davis house. We have managed to get a lot done. After church today we cleaned, wash sheets, quilts and all laundry, cleaned out toy boxes, grocery shopped, walked, watched DIY and HGTV and even watched a Lifetime movie. I love these kinds of weekends.
Deets decided he would jump in bed with Chris and the girls this morning. That is something that I don't allow but I thought who cares today I'll just wash everything. What was I thinking?

After church we polished our nails

Even Triple T(Teenie Tiny Tail) is having a lazy day!
I have this itch to buy new Pottery Barn Bedding for my room. I don't have a reason other than this quilt that Triple T is on has a hole in it thanks to the vaccum and it is two years old and I am kinda tired of it. I just don't know if i want to pay the $ when it is not necessary. I also want to furniture for my room. Mine is rustic and also tired of it. I need to win the lottery or get a better paying job. Not happening anytime soon.
Mine and Brandi's 35th birthday is on Thursday. I'll be a young 35! That's what I keep telling myself, "I am still young."
Kyli loves to plan parties so I can't wait to see what she has planned for me!

Upwards Basketball

I love basketball. It is that time of year again and both girls are participating in Upwards. Upwards is affiliated with the church and it is a way to teach the kids about basketball and Christ. I love it!!!! We pray and have devotions. Some of these kids have never stepped foot in a church. In Upwards they can learn about Jesus.
This is Kenna's first time to play on a team. She did pretty good the first half. She doesn't like anyone looking at her so I am proud she was even on the court. She cried the second half and didn't play. Little stinker!
Kyli did awesome! She scored 12 points. She also played great defense. I am so proud of both of my little smoochies.

Kyli the superstar!
I am in the background yelling! I can't help myself!

Dash (in orange) is Kenna's BFF

What a great day! I am staying home all day in this rainy weather. I am thinking about putting on my pjs and watching Lifetime.
Have a blessed weekend!

Blog2Print.com

I just printed my first year of blogging at www.blog2print.com. I absolutely love my book. I ordered hardback, printed everything even comments and it was $139. I couldn't have printed photos and put them in books any cheaper than that. I took it to school to show my friends and they loved it.

I love how it gives a table of contents
I love the cover
Although, I wish I would have changed the pic and put a family pic instead of the one they picked for me. I could have downloaded a picture. I would have been easy to do.

Kyli is obsessed with her kitty. Poor kitty. Its names are Fluffy, Otti and Ms. Otti

Kenna sure is happy that Chris is home from his hunting trip
Chris killed a mule deer in New Mexico. Woo Hoo! He is not allowed to go hunting anymore. He has gone WAY to much this year.
It has been a great week. Our first Upwards game is Saturday. I can't wait to watch and coach my girls.
My goal is to loose 10lbs. before I go to Belize. I weighed in today and didn't loose a thing in a week. Boo Hoo! I did however come home and walk 2 1/2 miles in 35 degree weather. Wish me luck!

We Did It!

After two wonderful weeks of Christmas vacation, it was time to go back to work and the girls go to school. We have been dreading it for the last week. I really prepared myself knowing that this was going to be an awful day when we woke up. Chris has been in New Mexico hunting since Thursday so I had no help in getting the girls ready. In fact, I feel sure that Chris always plans to be gone when we go back to school in August and after or Christmas break. LOL!
Last night, I packed lunches, picked out clothes, picked up the house and had the girls in bed by 8:00. I was in bed by 10:00. I decided to get up extra early to deal with the crabby patties. I woke them up at 6:15. The shot out of bed, ran to the bar to eat powdered dounuts, got ready, made beds and played until it was time to leave. WOW! I wasn't sure if these girls were mine. The only negative thing that came out of Kyli's mouth was, "I hate school." Hopefully this will happen every single morning. It would make my mornings so much easier.

Nate's birthday is on January 5th. He will be 7. I love him so much! Too bad he doesn't love me like he used to. We celebrated his birthday last Friday. It was a lazy day and the kids ran around all day.

I don't think Nate even brushed his hair. The only candles we could find were a 3 and 4. Nate made a plus sign to =7

Kenna loves our bed. She ends up in it 5 out of 7 nights. She is smart to go to her daddy's side. I always take her back to her room.

Pray for great mornings all week!
Have a blessed week!

2010 Coming to an End

Happy New Year!
Tonight my mom and my girls were my date. My dad and hubby are off hunting! Poor us but at least we have each other. We had a birthday party for Nate and then headed to Hobby Lobby. I'll post later on my great buys.
Many great things have happened this year. The most amazing thing is my healing. God is so amazing. I am so blessed!
This pic of Kenna and I is 4 weeks after surgery. At this point I hadn't had a change in my vision, balance or headaches. Spring Break in Durango, Colorado
I didn't get to ski but it was so fun watching the girls. 3 months post surgery and just finished physical therapy. This was the first time I saw an improvement in my vision. We were riding on the train and Chris walked through the front of the train and I could see him so clear and could make out who he was! I was excited. I just teared up.

NYC- June
6 months post surgery
I finally realize that this surgery was successful!

The saddest point in our family was when Spankie went to doggy heaven. It broke our hearts. It was the hardest thing we had to do besides preparing for surgery. He will forever be apart of our family and we will never forget him. I miss him terribly. I still have melt downs over him.
He was my baby boy for 15 years.

There are two versus that I have lived by everyday that I want to share.
"The prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well, the Lord will raise him up..." James 5:15
and
"I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Phillipines 4:13
Christmas at Mimi and Pawpaw's

Kyli's new James Avery earrings
Playing a new game. LCR- you have to get it. We play it with quarters.
The girls love making a mess at Mimi's

Tomorrow the girls and I are off to Fredericksburg to have Christmas with Chris' family. On Monday I go back to work. I have really enjoyed my time off. I am so sad about going to work but when you like to spend money and travel you have to work to play. So, I choose to work so our family can play!
Happy New Year!
