New York- Day 1

Mom, Aunt Tracey, Brandi and I went on a girls' trip to New York . It was amazing. We got there mid-afternoon on Saturday. The first evening we took a boat up the East River and ate at the Water's Edge.

Times Square is UNBELIEVABLE! CRAZY people everywhere. Northerners are not polite either!

This has been one of my favorite trips. It was amazing. Ground Zero, Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, Hudson River, Wicked, Times Square, Today show......

I hope we can make this a yearly trip. I had so much fun. Thanks mom, Aunt Tracey and Bran for making this possible.

Amy's 40th B-day

I have a fantastic group of friends. We play bunco once a month but we also try to get together as much as when can. Our favorite place is Jardin Carona's. Today is Amy's 40th bday. Amy is a great friend. I teach 1st grade with her.

I love these girls. We are all a support group for each other. Whether it be surgeries, deaths, heartache, etc. we are all there for each other.

Chris is Home

Chris is finally home after a LONG week. We had a celebration today. The girls made him presents while he was gone. They were so excited when he opened them up. We spent the day in the pool and went out to eat Sushi.

Swim lessons and basketball camp this week. Chris will leave Tuesday and return Friday. I leave Saturday for NYC. We are so busy. I can't wait to be back from NY and spend some time with the hubs. Hopefully no more traveling for a while.

Giving All to God

It was Children's Dedication at our church on Sunday. We have already dedicated our kids to the church but it is always an awesome Sunday when any child is dedicated.

Anita Renfroe was a guest speaker. You have to listen to the "mom song" on youtube if you have not heard it. It is so true and funny.

We studied Genesis 22:1-13

1. Giving your child to God is a confirmation of your love for God.

2. Giving your children to God is clarification of ownership.

*Our children are a gift from God and belong to Him.

3. Giving your children to God is a committment to raise your children God's way.

*Be a Godly parent

*Teach your children about Jesus

*Keep this child in church

*Love this child

*Pray daily for this child

*Stay married for this child

*Make your home a Holy Place

4. Giving your children to God is a claiming of God's plan and promise that child's life.

*As you obey God with your life and as you give that child back to God, you are posturing that child to receive God's best for their life.

*Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

What's been going on

The end of school is always crazy in my house. So many activites at school. I survived and am in need of much rest.

On Memorial Day, Chris and Kyli went and climbed Enchanted Rock

Eden, my high school helper for the past two years and babysitter is graduating. Boo Hoo! She is wonderful. I will miss her so much.

Kyli went to Mary Kate's Bday party. They swam at Camp Longhorn, got all dressed up in poodle skirts and went and ate at Bluebonnet Cafe. Kyli had a blast.

Happy Summer! Today I go to my last training at school! I am so sad. I am ready to be off and play with my girls.

I'm Back!

Before Chris went out of town he wanted to eat Sushi. We LOVE sushi. It is our favorite thing to eat.

It has been two weeks since my last post. I have been so busy. With it being the end of another school year and being sad because of Spankie I have had no time to post. Well, so many things have happened in the last two weeks.

I still can't believe my little Spankie man is in Doggy Heaven. Today is his 15th birthday. Kyli says that she just knows that God is throwing him a party with all his doggy friends. I pray and hope that there is such a thing as doggy heavien and I will be reunited with him. We miss him so much! It is lonely without him.

Sam Bolm(my besties BIL)passed away May 26th. He ended his couragous battle with Melanoma. It is so sad but we know he his rejoicing in Heaven. It has been an emotional two weeks. Sam was brought into the same hospital as me on the day of my surgery. We were just a couple of doors down from one another. I got to see Shay(bestie) a lot during my hospital stay because Sam was there. Please pray for the Bolm family during this sorrowful time.

Today Chris left out of state for a week. He gets home next Sunday and turns around and heads out to West TX. The day he gets back is the day that I fly out for New York City. I already miss him. Boo Hoo! We have basketball camp and swim lessons to consume our thoughts of Chris and the best daddy in the world.

June 6, 1995 to May 21, 2010

When I moved to Lubbock in 1995 I missed my sister's dog, Bougey. When my mom came to visit me she brought Spankie to me. Brandi and Rob had gone to Dallas to get him. I love him so much. He went everywhere with me. He slept with Chris and me up until the last couple of years. He would lay with me and watch tv and he was just the most precious dog in the world. Kyli and Kenna love him so much and he loves them back. It is unconditional love. My heart is broken and I can't stop the crying and the aching for just one more minute with my baby boy. I am so blessed that God gave him to me for 16 years. We have so many wonderful memories my little stinky man.

Please pray for us to find peace and the comfort that we so need right now.
